Bet Online Craps - Craps Strategies

Basic Craps Strategy:
The most basic Craps strategy is to reduce the house edge to as little as is possible. Always take (or lay) Odds bets (an Odds wager of equal value to your original bet reduces the casino's advantage on Pass Line, Don't Pass, Come and Don't Come bets from 1.4% to 0.85%) this is the easiest way to lower the house advantage. Wagering even larger amounts on the Odds bet will reduce the house edge even more (to as low as 0.02% for 100 times odds) however wagering these amounts is not for the faint of heart.

The Five Count System:
One Craps strategy is based on the belief that hot shooters will continue to stay hot for long periods before losing. The five count system ("The Captain's System popularized by Frank Scoblete) is used in an attempt to find hot players and then bet on them. Using this system you do nothing until the shooter rolls a point number, then you start counting (count one for the come-out roll) and continue to increase the count after each successful roll until you reach five. When you reach a count of five you have a hot shooter, start betting on him/her.

The Progressive Strategy:
Another craps strategy is the Progressive Strategy. Using this strategy you increase you bets when winning and decrease your bets when losing. The simplest way to use this strategy is to use a one unit progression (say using $5 as your betting unit). You then increase your wagers up one unit ($5) every time you win and decrease your wagers one unit ($5) every time you lose.

Say you start with a bet of $25 plus a $50 two times point bet on the five (or the nine). You win when the shooter throws a five you would have won $100 ($25 plus $75). Now increase your bets one unit ($5) so you bet $30 plus a $60 two times point, again on the five. You win a second time when the shooter throws a five you would have won $120 ($30 plus $90). With two bets you have won a total of $220.

Say you start with a bet of $25 plus a $50 two times point bet on the five (or the nine). You lose the $25 plus $50 for a total of $75. You now decrease your wagers one unit ($5) and bet $20 plus a $40 two times point bet on the five (or the nine). You lose; you have lost $20 plus $40 for a total of $60. Next time you decrease your bet another unit to $15 plus a $30 two times point bet on the five (or the nine). If you lose for the third time you have lost a total of $180 ($75 + $60 + $45).

You have won $220 with two wins and lost $180 with three losses. You can win slightly more betting on 4 or 10 points and slightly less betting on 6 or 8 points. But no matter what the point you will win faster than you will lose, and be more profitable than if you bet the same amount each time.
